To help ensure the safety of your students, most of our school water drinking fountains come with a rounded radius front - the lack of sharp corners means that there’s no risk of pupils catching themselves as they run down corridors to lessons. Many of the bubbler taps that come with our school water fountains are also WRAS-approved.

Some schools choose to provide bottled water to their students - but in the long run, bottled water is hugely expensive in comparison to a drinking fountain or bottle filler. The inflated price of bottled water doesn’t even reflect the quality of the water itself: most so-called ‘mineral water’ is just tap water that’s been purified, meaning that most of the extortionate price tag of bottled water goes towards the packaging.
Bottled water isn’t just expensive - it’s also incredibly harmful to the environment. Research has shown that only one in five plastic water bottles is recycled, while the rest end up as litter or in landfill. It also takes a plastic water bottle at least 450 years to decompose.
Easy access to a water fountain or bottle filler will also discourage your pupils from indulging in sugar-filled fizzy drinks. Sugary soda drinks can cause tooth decay, obesity, diabetes and a host of other health problems.
Installing a school water fountain can help save you money, reduce your carbon footprint and cut down on litter in your school, as well as improving the health and wellbeing of your students.
What is WRAS approval?
The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (or WRAS) is a certificate to help manufacturers demonstrate their compliance with the quality standards that govern all water supply fittings within the UK. These regulations exist to ensure that drinking water is safe, uncontaminated, and supplied in a way that is not wasteful.
You’ll be pleased to know that many of the bubbler taps supplied with our school drinking water fountains come with the WRAS seal of approval.
